Silkflower Hairpin FAQs
-
Traditionally, silk flowers are made with mulberry worm silk, or synthetic silk. To ensure affordability and sustainability (as traditional silk processing is a major consumer of water), most of our silkflower accessories use what is commonly known as “pipecleaners” to achieve the same result.

The metal wire we use is tarnish-resistant, so simply dry them off by leaving them on an open surface.
The fiber portion, luckily, can be dried with a blow-dryer!

Most of the silkflower hairpins are bridal hairpins, either using traditional U-pin structures or as a bobby pin for simplified application. These are meant to be used as larger sets.
Longer U-pins and wavy pins can hold most medium to meidum-long hair depending on how you wear them.
